A Finger-Painting Pajama Party

This is a new record for me, two weeks with no new posts - gasp!! So here are a few pictures of some painting fun George had this morning.Notice the highly-effective dish cloth that did very little to protect his jammie from paint. Oh well, it's washable.
We've had a couple low-key weeks around here. I've been working quite a bit (which has been nice since it's almost summer) and we've been playing a lot outside now that it's spring. George continues to make us laugh everyday, especially now that he can say "yeah" and "no" which lead to funny conversations and he also loves to say "Belle." He loves to ask where she is, point out something she likes when she's here, or blame her for the stinky diaper that we know Belle had nothing to do with.
I hear him waking up now upstairs, so I'd better run. It won't be so long between posts again - I promise!

WOW Museum

This morning, George and I went up to Lafayette to meet Michelle, Katy, and their kiddos at the WOW Museum. It is such a cool place, designed just with little guys like George, James, and Belle in mind. George started on the trek up to the pirate ship...Then spent a lot of time driving this truck with his buddy, James... James loved the train conductor hats, and wanted George to love them too. If George took his hat off, James would put it back on for him to remind him how awesome it is to be a train conductor (my dad would agree).Playing the piano with Belle and James...George kept playing after the other two had moved on...
It was fun to get the three kiddos together, it had been a long time! Now George is upstairs fighting his nap because he slept for 20 minutes on the way home. Yikes. Oh, well, I guess my afternoon break is short-lived :)

Because It's Been a Week...

... I figured I'd better post something. So here is a video of one of George's new favorite hobbies: jumping in his crib.

And here's a cute picture of George all dressed up as a fireman at the Children's Museum. They have a full-size fire truck there - George was torn between extreme excitement and intimidation at being so close to it!

Easter 2010

George had a great Easter today - the Easter bunny filled George's basket this morning with lots of cool stuff, he got to go on two egg hunts, and had lots of fun with family.

George loved finding eggs outside this morning. Although if he were in an egg-collecting competition, he would have come in dead last. After finding each one, he had to shake it, open it, and carefully eat each yogurt melt or veggie puff that was inside :) Then move on to the next one... George also had his 18 month appointment on Wednesday and all is well with our boy. The doctor wasn't worried at all about his language and he's growing like a weed. He is now 33 3/8 inches tall (78th percentile) and weighs 25 lbs 9 oz (44th percentile).
