What We've Been Up To

Since Blogger is being nuts for me tonight, these pictures are all over the place. Anyway.... here are the latest batch of phone pictures. These first few are from the 5K that the boys and I ran last Saturday to raise money for colon cancer research. The PW stands for Paul Weisenhorn, my dad's cousin who is fighting colon cancer right now. It was so much fun to participate and I was really proud of myself for running most of the race while pushing a double stroller!

George got out of the stroller and ran the last 100 yards or so with me and crossed the finish line.  He was so excited and proud of himself!

One of the fun parts of this 5K is that most people wear their underwear on the outside of their clothes to raise awareness for colon cancer screening.  Here's George sporting his:

This is a cute picture of George swimming with my friend, Karla. Karla and I were teammates teaching 3rd grade my first year teaching, and we still love to get together and catch up! Today she invited us to swim at the pool in her neighborhood and we had such a great time! George has become a really confident swimmer this summer thanks to his swim "vest," although today he was jumping in from the side without it and was able to kick back to the surface and then swim to the side again all on his own - way to go George!!
Today is my dad's birthday (Happy birthday, Dad!) and we met him and my mom at Willis Case for dinner.  The boys loved putting while waiting for dinner.

George sat at the bar all on his own and orderd his own dinner without any of us even asking him to do it.  It was way cute.

Water Babies

The O'Reilly boys were swimming maniacs this week!  We went to our neighborhood pool on Monday and Friday, swam at a friend's house on Wednesday, and the boys ran through the sprinkler this afternoon.  I'm pretty sure their little fingers might be pruned for a while :)

When we got to the pool on Monday, it was adult swim. It took all my power to keep Gus out of the baby pool while we waited for open swim.
On Wednesday, we went to our friend's parents' house in Arvada and had a wonderful time swimming in their backyard pool with James, Mac, Riley, and baby Piper.  Here are the little guys:

The whole crew.  George and Gus had so much fun!!

Welcome Summer!

Much like the last post, this one is a mish-mash of random pictures for the most part. Both boys are taking a nap right now (!!!!) so I'm making myself useful and updating the blog :) This first set of pictures is from last weekend when Sean and George camped in the backyard for (most of) the night.

The beautiful O'Reilly National Park
Here's Superman himself checking out the tent.  I love this picture because you can see George rubbing his thumb and finger on the corner of his "Bobby," his favorite little habit.

I have to say it, these two brothers are adorable!!
Gus snuck in and tried out the tent for a bit.  He mostly likes to swipe George's Leo dog when he isn't looking.

There was even some s'more making over the grill.

The rest of these pictures are from my phone and they are pretty random, but still cute.

George found a Barbie mermaid movie at the library and we've had to watch it about 43 times so far.  At Target the other day he asked if he could have a Barbie mermaid.  Since I considered it possibly my only chance to buy a Barbie for my sons, you bet I bought one for him.  And one for Gus, too.  The boys got in the bath the second we got home to make them swim and brush their hair :)

We just got back from the pool for the first time today.  Gus could not wait to get in the water!

Just making a mess by turning a bowl of applesauce into a hat.

And calmly looking out the window in the buff.

Sean and I got the weekend to ouselves to attend his good friend Casey's wedding.  Thank you so much to my mom and dad for keeping the boys, we had such a great time!

And one last cool shot of Superman.
