Finally Some Snow!
George started his day saying goodbye to his two binkies. We put them in an envelope with this letter and Sean took them to work to "mail them" to some babies who need them. Nap time went okay, he fell asleep with no problem, but woke up after only an hour and a half or so very sleepy and grumpy and I know if he had his binky, he would have slept longer, but it's time :)
While so many places across the country have been getting slammed by snow, Denver has seen almost nothing all winter. So today's storm is extra special :) After nap we busted out the snow gear and headed outside. Of course, George wanted to dig in the snow but it doesn't work too well with mittens.
Frustration and a short nap quickly took over :(
Once we took out the new snow shovel my parents got him for Christmas, he was a new kid! He loves that thing and just shoveled until he couldn't lift anymore. Luckily, today's snow is very light and fluffy...

Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas again this year - thanks to our wonderful families! As always, we spent Christmas Eve with Sean's family for their Polish traditional dinner of Wagilia. Here's George all dressed for church (which was full and we snuck out)...
Stuffed from all the courses of yummy food at Kelly's...
With J.P., the red-nosed reindeer...
J.P. and Sean checking out Santa's progress on NORAD...
A good picture of the O'Reilly men...
Enjoying his first present of Christmas, a car carrier truck that he loves!
Setting out cookies and milk for Santa...
Reading "The Night Before Christmas"
Santa came!!!

We stopped by Kelly and Joe's Christmas morning to exchange presents. Here are George and Ryan checking out a new toy...
Taking the new motorcycles out for a spin with some power tools in hand....
Then we headed to my parents' house for the rest of the day. Next year we have to remember to get my poor mom some stocking stuffers - all she had was an old nail in hers!!
George enjoyed his new snow shovel and apron from my parents...
He also got the cutest boots with diggers all over them. Here he is trying out some dance moves in his new rain boots.

Laura got him this awesome hat that is unfortunately too small...we thought he looked pretty funny in it!
It was such a fun day with everyone. George had a blast even though his lack of sleep and being overwhelmed at times got the best of him. He thinks Santa is a pretty great guy for bringing him such cool toys and we think George is a pretty great kid! Thanks to everyone for making our Christmas so wonderful!

Santa Take Two
Today was our neighborhood's Winterfest celebration. We tried to get a good Santa picture since last week's wasn't that great. This Santa was so nice but George was still very unsure of him, even when offered a small gift...
A little closer...
Whispering to Santa what he wants for Christmas...

George would not get on Santa's lap for anything, so this was our compromise. I think it turned out really cute, though! How cute is this Santa?
We also took a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, which George really liked. Then this afternoon we went swimming for a while - George loved every second of it and now he's ready for bed! It was such a fun day :)
