Sweet Gus is 7 months old today - hard to believe! He makes me smile all day long (not so much at night...) and we are all crazy about him. Gus continues to get stronger and stronger by the week it seems, and is so close to crawling. He loves to get on all fours and rock back and forth - one of these days he'll figure out what to do to get somewhere! In the meantime, his crazy rolling skills and scootching on the carpet can get him pretty far and usually help him grab something he shouldn't have :)
His favorite place on earth is in my arms and he will let you know when that's all he wants. While it can get a little frustrating when I need to put him down, it makes me smile when I pick him up and he immediately calms down and burrows his face into my neck to say, "Oh thank you mama! I missed you so!"
It's so interesting to see how completely different these two brothers have been so far. While George could not get enough baby food, Gus is usually indifferent. He'll take a couple bites here and there, but he doesn't love it yet like George did.
Like his brother, he loves his binky and this month he mastered the art of picking it up himself and putting it in his own mouth.
He loves to squeeze the back of your arm with his hand while you hold him, listen to "You Are My Sunshine" while I put on his lotion after a bath, swing on the baby swing on the front porch, watch George run back and forth all around the house (George loves this too), go on walks, be outside (he squeals when I open the door), lay in our bed, play with newspaper, grab ANYTHING, greet Sean with a giant smile when he comes home from work, and cuddle with just about anyone.
Thank you for being such a wonderful baby, Gus, we are so lucky to have you!
