Keeping Busy

I realized today that I haven't taken any pictures of the boys for a while, so I got out my camera today and managed to take a few cute pictures of Gus.  George was sleeping (for ONCE!) and Gus needed some nudey-time and riding his new Rody horse seemed appealing to him :)

Love this kid and his space-out front teeth!
OMG, he looks so much like George in this one!  I never think they look alike, but this facial expression is 100% George.
Here are some recent pictures of George that I've taken with my phone.  We've gotten quite a bit of snow recently and someone in the neighborhood built this cool igloo.
Enjoying some hot cocoa afterwards :)
This is George and Grace, his birthday buddy.  She and her dad came over for dinner on Sunday and it was so much fun to see them play so well together!  George doesn't ever really interact with other kids, but he immediately was talking to Grace, asking her questions, and involving her in his games.  It was so cute!

The O'Reilly Barber Shop

After a fun morning of playing at Barnes and Noble with the Merciers, it was time our boys had a haircut.  Luckily, Sean has become pretty skilled with the clippers so he gave each boy a good-looking do :)  This was Gus' first haircut.  It wasn't long everywhere, just in the back.  It was becoming pretty mullet-like so it needed a trim.  Here is the before:

Which would turn into this after pretty much every meal since he loves to run his food-filled hands through the back of his hair:
 Here we go...

I started to get a little choked up at about this point, I was so nervous he wouldn't look like a baby anymore!  I gave Sean very specific instructions to only cut the back :)
 The finished product: just right!

 George was up next...
It has taken 3 years for him to let Sean do this without major melt-downs and several strategies to keep him happy.  Today it was the iPhone and Yo Gabba Gabba.
Doesn't your barber vacuum you when your haircut it finished?

Nicely done, Sean! The boys both look so handsome :)
