Sean left Thursday morning for a bachelor party in Washington, DC. We have all missed him but we've been having fun, too. Yesterday, George spent the morning with my parents and Luke at the Railroad Museum in Golden while Gus and I had some baby/momma time that we never get. The two of us went to an event called The Great Cloth Diaper Change, a Guiness Book of Records event where people all around the country changed their baby into a cloth diaper at the same exact time. It was a fun experience and seeing over 200 babies in the cutest little fluffy butts was beyond adorable!
When we got home, we still had some time to play before George came home. I think Gus really enjoyed having me all to himself, he was so happy and extra cuddly (which is hard to do).
While George was in his Swim & Gym class on Thursday, Gus and I hung out at the Petsmart across the street. I convinced myself that buying the boys a goldfish would be fun, until the lady that worked there tried to make me believe that in order to care for two 13-cent goldfish, I would need a 10 gallon tank and a giant filter. Um, no thanks.
So today we went to Petco and got the perfect "starter tank" and two little goldfish for the boys, one white and one gold. George said that Gus' fish is named Foil, and he is not giving his own fish a name because he is "only a pet."
I'm really hoping that we can make it 24 hours before the tank gets pushed off the table, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. We'll be practicing how to "not touch" for the next few days.
George just called down the stairs to me that the white fish is not in the tank, so I'd better go figure out what is going on.
We're so excited for Sean to come home tonight!!!
