Yesterday we headed up to the mountains to cut down our Christmas tree. We always have such a great time, so this year we decided to invite a big group of friends and make a day of it with everyone. Of course this year ended up being so much colder than it has any other year, but it was still nice having our friends to tree-hunt with and tailgate with after our trees were cut down. Here are the pictures of our day:

After the tree was cut down, we headed to the fire house again to check out the trucks and talk to Santa.
George was terrified of Santa at first and I had to sit with him, but once he started talking about the fire house he wants for Christmas, he wouldn't stop talking.
It was a lot of fun and a good way to end a busy week. We'll get the tree up and decorated later this week and start preparing for a month of fun holiday celebrating!

We had so much fun cutting our tree with you guys! Thanks for inviting us! I love your family picture by the tree. My attempt at setting up the camera for a shot like that was a big failure :) Enjoy decorating the tree and we'll have to get together to do a holiday craft/treat with the kids!
