Visiting Laura

The end of June means a visit to San Jose to see Laura - hooray!  This time around, the boys and I left ahead of everyone else to spend a couple extra days with Laura.  Thanks to curb-side check-in, flying with them both by myself worked out just fine and both boys were really good on the plane. 

 

Our first whole day there, Laura took us to a great park in Los Gatos with a fun playground, a carousel, and a train.  It was a gorgeous day and the boys had a blast!!

 

 

 

 

 

After my parents and Sean got to town, we spent a day at Happy Hollow Zoo & Park again, like we did when Gus was just a baby.  Again, the boys loved it and I think Gus was the perfect age to enjoy it all.  George was a little old for a couple of the rides, but he loved it all anyway.

 

BTW: this carousel had every. single. animal. on earth to choose from.  George chose a tiger and Gus chose... the only horse. 

My parents stayed at a hotel really close to Laura's.  We spent a few hours at their hotel pool one day on a perfectly hot day with nobody else in the pool.  It was so much fun!!

The day before we went home, we all went to a Giants' game in San Francisco.  The stadium was really cool and even though our seats were in the top two rows of the upper deck, it was a wonderful afternoon and we all enjoyed the game.

AT&T Park has a mini field that little guys can play in.  George was too tall, but Gus got to hit off the tee and run completely randomly around the tiny diamond :)

As always, it was so wonderful to be with Laura!  It's especially great for me to hang out with my sister :)  Laura's dog, Fraser, was given the nickname "Foo-Fee" by Gus and Gus just said yesterday, "I miss Foo-Fee."  Adorable.  Thank you, Laura, for an amazing vacation!!!
