Our basement is getting so close to being done - hip hip hooray!! Even though these pictures show that it's still a mess downstairs, you can also see all the work that's been done lately. This first one is just to show how much fun Home Depot can be when you're a year old. Hopefully soon, the almost constant trips to Home Depot will be a distant memory!
This picture shows the stairs coming down into what will be a desk area. There's built-in bookshelves on the left, and on the right Sean hopes to build a desk for George where someday George and his brother or sister will do their homework...
This shot is looking into the new family room. The lower part of the front wall is still white because it will get some white wainscoting. The door to the right goes into the bedroom.
George modeling the new window bases... The cabinet on the right of this picture will hold the DVD player, stereo stuff, etc.
This cabinet will be for all of G's toys...
This is the bedroom, the color is called "Stone." It looks really nice in there. Once the white trim is up along the floor and around the big window, the bedroom will be done!

Sean volunteered to host his company's Christmas party here on December 6th so that's our motivation to get this thing done! It's so close now and we're both so excited to actually start to enjoy our new space instead of just work down there.

What an amazinge transformation. The area looks so good and I can't wait to see it completed!!! Now to find some good steals on furniture. Sean is da man!
